  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team environment

  • Previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred
  • Food handler's certification or equivalent food safety training preferred
  • Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and tools preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality or restaurant environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and measure ingredients according to recipes and instructions from chefs
  • Wash, peel, chop, and portion vegetables, fruits, meats, and other food items
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and storage of food items
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe kitchen environment
  • Support kitchen staff during busy periods by performing additional tasks as needed
  • Dispose of waste properly and assist in maintaining overall kitchen sanitation standards
