Job Requirements

  • At least 7 years of related progressive experience, or a culinary graduate with at least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • Food Handlers Certification as required by state regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary expert with strong leadership skills
  • Prior supervisory experience in a kitchen environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and initiative abilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of financial information related to kitchen operations
  • Understanding of food safety standards and compliance
  • Culinary graduate or equivalent experience

Job Duties

  • Supervise the preparation of food items, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation across all dining outlets
  • Lead and assist kitchen staff, utilizing previous supervisory experience to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Anticipate needs, evaluate alternatives and solve problems efficiently in high-pressure situations
  • Clearly convey information and ideas and effectively listen to and understand issues raised by co-workers and guests
  • Work with financial information and basic arithmetic functions to support kitchen operations
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain a clean and safe work environment
