Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- six months previous golf course front counter and retail sales experience preferred
- valid driver's license preferred
- strong cashiering skills
- proficiency with POS systems
- ability to manage conflict
- excellent verbal communication skills
- ability to multi-task
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver's license preferred
- high school diploma or equivalent is required
- six months previous golf course front counter and retail sales experience preferred
- previous supervisory experience preferred
- must be highly proficient operating POS systems
- typing speed of 40 WPM preferred
- strong cashiering skills required
- must work well in a team environment
- must be skilled at managing conflict and influencing outcomes
- must be skilled at multi-tasking
- excellent verbal communication skills required
- strong written communication skills preferred
- strong organizational skills preferred
- must have basic problem solving skills
- must have a thorough understanding of the theory of progressive discipline
- ability to guide and coach a team preferred
Job Duties
- Meet and greet guests in a dynamic and professional manner
- register guests for play using computerized POS system
- assist guests in purchasing golf equipment, apparel, and accessories
- answer phone calls and provide information about facilities, entertainment options, and rules and regulations or make reservations as appropriate
- communicate needed guest services with outside service staff
- receive, arrange, straighten, and maintain displays of golf shop merchandise as needed
- monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures to protect environment and maintain order
- record details of attendance, sales, receipts, and reservations
- assist in overseeing outside service staff
- assist Administrative Assistant in completion of administrative duties and Event Coordinator as needed during course events
- other projects and duties as assigned
