Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one plus years experience as a cook in the restaurant industry
  • ability to read and follow standardized recipes
  • food handlers card where applicable
  • completion of legally required state or local training
  • ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 60 lbs
  • excellent personal hygiene and compliance with dress code
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • willingness to comply with all health and safety regulations
  • must be SDS trained
  • ability to respond professionally to guest complaints
  • availability to work variable shifts including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • One plus years experience as a cook in the restaurant industry
  • ability to read and follow standardized recipes
  • strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • completion of cast certification program as a cast member and concessionist or progress towards completion
  • completed any legally required state or local training and obtained required certificate
  • completed Regal Entertainment Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University
  • ServeSafe Certification preferred
  • possess good public speaking skills
  • listen effectively and respond clearly
  • perform calculations with speed and accuracy
  • identify and correct errors
  • identify problems, gather relevant data, recognize alternatives and reach conclusions based on evidence
  • take action beyond necessity
  • perform well under pressure
  • possess excellent communication with customers, co-workers, and management
  • able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere

Job Duties

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • remain knowledgeable on all food menu items including specials and promotions
  • ensure all food menu items are consistently prepared and served per recipes, portioning, and serving standards
  • keep updated on recipe changes
  • measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
  • collaborate with managers, cooks, and servers to prepare meals timely
  • plate food according to proper procedures
  • maintain accurate food inventories
  • properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • rotate stock items as per established procedures
  • restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
  • ensure food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of shift
  • maintain a clean as you go approach throughout shift
  • label, date, and sign all products per requirements
  • cook a variety of foods appropriately to maintain proper flavor and appearance
  • complete daily kitchen logs related to cooling, reheating, food and refrigerator/freezer temperatures, and sanitizer solutions
  • comply with all food safety rules, laws, protocols, and standards
  • adhere and maintain all Health Department rules and regulations
  • operate and clean all related equipment properly
  • use all storerooms properly
  • report and maintain inventory
  • use cleaning materials according to safety data sheets
  • know all opening, closing and in-between show procedures
  • understand emergency, evacuation, and robbery procedures
  • ensure guest satisfaction by greeting, smiling, and thanking guests
  • handle dissatisfied guests promptly to ensure repeat business
  • respond personally to guest questions and complaints
  • know correct popper operation and emergency procedures
  • comply with dress code and maintain excellent personal hygiene
  • abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods
  • handle lost and found items according to policy
  • be trained on safety data sheets
  • obtain food handlers card where applicable
  • report damages or maintenance issues promptly
  • report suspicious activity immediately to management
