Job Requirements
- No formal education required
- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to stand, walk frequently, and ring small handbell repetitively
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push or pull light objects less than 25 lbs
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Ability to comply with dress code and job instructions
- Willingness to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to pass a criminal history background check

Job Duties
- Ring the bell at your appointed kettle stand/location
- Respond to the general public’s questions and direct them to appropriate Salvation Army representatives courteously
- Collect monetary donations on behalf of The Salvation Army
- Greet guests (donors) in a friendly and hospitable manner
- Follow instructions and work independently
- Meet attendance requirements
- Maintain professional communication with public and staff
- Never leave kettle unattended except for authorized breaks at secure locations
- Wear identification and any special clothing provided by The Salvation Army at all times
- Complete, sign, and place a daily time card at the end of each working day
