Job Requirements
- No education required
- customer service experience preferred
- ability to ring small hand bell
- ability to perform repetitive motion of ringing a hand bell
- moderate mobility including standing and walking on a frequent changing basis
- physical ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light objects less than 25 lbs
- ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
- ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- pass a criminal history information check

Job Duties
- Ring the bell at the appointed kettle stand location
- respond to questions and requests for information courteously and direct to appropriate Salvation Army representative
- collect monetary donations on behalf of The Salvation Army at the kettle stand
- greet guests (donors) in a friendly and hospitable manner
- follow instructions and work independently
- meet attendance requirements
- conduct all communication with public and staff professionally
- never leave kettle unattended except for authorized breaks and only at a secure location
- wear identification and any special clothing provided by The Salvation Army at all times
- complete, sign, and place a daily time card in the kettle at the end of the working day
