Job Description

Kraft Heinz, a leading global food and beverage company, operates a substantial manufacturing plant located at 4601 C Street SW in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This facility is a non-union operation that runs three shifts daily, employing approximately 200 hourly workers, including both temporary and full-time associates. The plant specializes in producing a variety of food service products, particularly frozen soups and macaroni and cheese, known across many households in the United States under more than 50 well-recognized brand names. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience operating power equipment preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperature conditions
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety protocols
  • Ability to document and monitor temperature readings accurately
  • Willingness to work first shift, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to food safety standards
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack
  • Familiarity with HACCP and HMI interface

Job Duties

  • Operate power equipment
  • Document bag temperatures
  • Stage totes in first-in first-out order
  • Basic understanding of HMI operation
  • Communicate with onpack operators and prepack lead
  • Identify any quality concerns such as illegibly printed bags or seal integrity issues
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must be able to work in a safe manner
  • Responsible for following all food safety policies and safety procedures
  • Utilize computer skills for IQS
  • Operate pallet jack
  • Implement Q-RMP standards as defined by the accountability list document
  • Troubleshoot chiller problems
  • Regulate speed of chill tank through HMI manipulation to ensure all products meet HACCP temperature requirements
  • Operate printer, Wexxar, and Iconotech printers
  • Understand all pack configurations
  • Separate batches as much as possible in totes
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned
