Job Requirements

  • Ability to work shifts during various operating days and hours including opening, busy day parts, and closing

  • Supervisory experience in restaurant or food service

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in food and beverage service, cash handling, and customer service
  • Minimum of 4 years supervisory or lead experience in casual dine or production kitchen
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents
  • Comfortable conversing with customers
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health standards
  • Familiarity with HACCP standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage diverse teams
  • Skilled in scheduling and operational management

Job Duties

  • Complete opening, daily, and closing procedures/checklists according to company policies and procedures
  • Assist the General Manager/F&B Multi Unit Manager I by supervising day-to-day activities of associates within individual or multiple restaurants or points-of-sale
  • Interview job candidates and make hiring, termination, advancement, and promotion decisions for associates
  • Promote HMSHost as an employer of choice within the local community
  • Read and understand financial and operational data and assign associates to meet unit objectives
  • Manage day-to-day activities of restaurant associates
  • Ensure compliance with company diversity and inclusion philosophy within the restaurant
  • Use judgment to resolve customer and associate questions and issues, escalating complex matters as needed
  • Ensure adherence to adult beverage policies and train staff accordingly
  • Prepare and manage work schedules and ensure shift coverage
  • Monitor associate rest breaks and meal periods
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and visually appealing display areas
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and operation
  • Operate cash register and adhere to cash handling security protocols
  • Monitor safety and wellness compliance and report concerns
  • Perform Health and Safety activities per Manager's Guide
  • Place orders, receive goods, and process invoices
  • Maintain updated contact information for all restaurant associates
