Job Requirements
- Pass a criminal background check
- adult and pediatric first aid/CPR training/certification within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter
- completion of required online training within 30 days of hire
- ability to occasionally work special events outside normal hours including weekends and evenings
Job Qualifications
- Must be customer service-oriented
- have good phone and interpersonal skills
- prior work experience in childcare
- understanding of military family issues
- prior experience preparing and developing age-appropriate activities
Job Duties
- Provide a variety of activities for toddlers to 12-year-olds
- interact with children and provide a nurturing environment for infants and children
- change infants' diapers when needed and ensure the Diaper Log is filled out monthly
- provide bathroom breaks for potty-trained children
- advise Director of Programs of any issues or concerns at the facility
- follow all Child Abuse Reporting procedures
- ensure new parents fill out proper registration forms and receive copies of immunization records
- ensure Daily Register Report is filled out with parent signatures
- maintain registration files
- provide written incident reports to parents and Director of Programs when necessary
- arrive on time daily as scheduled
- attend all mandatory training sessions and staff meetings
- demonstrate understanding and proper use of chain of command
- keep records confidential and locked when not in use
- maintain a safe and clean child-watch area
- open and close the CWR daily
- organize, sanitize, and store toys and materials
- ensure toys and equipment are in good working order and report unsafe conditions
- request needed supplies from Director of Programs
- perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Programs
