Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Hold certification in CPR AED and First Aid
- Be flexible during center hours depending on pick up and drop off times of the children
- Maintain an excellent driving record and be insurable
- Provide a copy of driving record from the DMV
- Must pass the required background check by DCF
- Have 2 years of driving experience
- Have 2 years experience working with kids
- Hold a valid Driver's License
- Willingness to commute and relocate to Milwaukee, WI 53216 before starting work
- Availability for day shifts
- 100% willingness to travel
- Must have no traffic violations in the last 5 years
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience with childcare or other related fields
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children and their parents
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Previous experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols is essential
- Experience in customer service roles will be highly valued
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with passengers and team members
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
Job Duties
- Safely operate a van or similar vehicle to transport passengers to designated locations
- Ensure timely arrivals and departures according to the scheduled routes
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or passenger needs
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Assist with any special needs of passengers, including those requiring additional support
