Job Requirements
- Ability to pass Utah Child Care Licensing Background Check
- Calm and professional under pressure
- Fluent in English, bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Ability to multi-task and manage phones, intercom, and security systems
- Maintain discretion and sound judgment when screening visitors
- Maintain confidentiality of paperwork and records
- Flexible schedule availability including willingness to work morning shifts
- Compliance with Utah Child Care Licensing requirements including preservice and annual training
- Ability to maintain professionalism in appearance and attitude
- Must comply with all organizational policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Friendly and approachable demeanor
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Ability to work pleasantly and professionally with teachers and families
- Ability to comply with local, state, and federal childcare laws
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Successful completion of required training including CPR, first aid, and food handler certifications
- Willingness to cross train in the classroom
Job Duties
- Act as a professional first point of contact greeting children, families, and guests with warmth and friendliness
- Answer incoming phone calls, direct calls and messages, and maintain a professional phone voice
- Use the intercom system and manage security doors with good judgment
- Maintain and file confidential and general paperwork including compliance documents
- Record daily attendance and assist with office supply inventory and ordering
- Assist the Director and Assistant Director with administrative tasks as needed
- Support teaching staff and be willing to cross train in the classroom
- Manage mailings and communications as required
