Job Requirements
- 18 years of age (21 years if responsible for driving a van)
- high school diploma or GED
- relevant childcare or food service experience
- ability to pass state and company background checks
- compliance with immunization, physical screening, and health and safety training
- physical capability to lift or move weights between 10 to 40 lbs frequently and occasionally over 40 lbs rarely
- ability to stand for 95% of the workday
- immediate physical and mental reaction to unexpected situations
- willingness to seek assistance when performing physically demanding tasks
Job Qualifications
- 18 years of age (21 years if responsible for driving a van) with a high school diploma or GED
- relevant experience working in a licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen
- ability to pass required state and company background checks
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- strong kitchen management skills
- good communication and teamwork abilities
Job Duties
- Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff
- keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed
- manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals, as well as cleaning and complying with sanitation requirements
- oversee kitchen operations including menu development
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- collaborate with childcare staff to coordinate meal times
- maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
