Job Requirements

  • 18 years of age (21 years if responsible for driving a van)
  • high school diploma or GED
  • relevant childcare or food service experience
  • ability to pass state and company background checks
  • compliance with immunization, physical screening, and health and safety training
  • physical capability to lift or move weights between 10 to 40 lbs frequently and occasionally over 40 lbs rarely
  • ability to stand for 95% of the workday
  • immediate physical and mental reaction to unexpected situations
  • willingness to seek assistance when performing physically demanding tasks

Job Qualifications

  • 18 years of age (21 years if responsible for driving a van) with a high school diploma or GED
  • relevant experience working in a licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen
  • ability to pass required state and company background checks
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong kitchen management skills
  • good communication and teamwork abilities

Job Duties

  • Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff
  • keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed
  • manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals, as well as cleaning and complying with sanitation requirements
  • oversee kitchen operations including menu development
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • collaborate with childcare staff to coordinate meal times
  • maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
