Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months to one-year related experience and/or training
- ability to comply with CACFP and USDA regulations
- capability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods

Job Duties
- Assists kitchen manager in planning menu in accordance with CACFP standards including substitutions for food allergies and cultural preference and serving sizes
- Assists with cooking food in quantities according to menu and number of people to be served and in accordance with USDA regulations
- Provides meals to the classrooms in a manner that facilitates family style dining
- Maintains clean and sanitary kitchen at base and satellite sites
- Adheres to all federal and state guidelines on washing dishes, food storage, preparation and serving
- Keeps records and accounts in accordance with YWCA policies and procedures and CACFP regulations including recipes for all center-cooked foods, receipts, and labels for all pre-packaged foods
- Completes final check of all satellite location meals to ensure accuracy and proper substitutions have been provided before delivery and serving
- Delivers meals to satellite sites and assists with meal serving, clean up, snack prep, and breakfast preparation for the next day
- Steps into classrooms as needed to assist teachers with maintaining proper ratios
- Supervises and engages with children in developmentally appropriate activities as needed
- Assists with routines such as meals, naps, transitions, and playtime as needed
- Supports teachers in maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment
- May take on additional responsibilities in the absence of Kitchen Manager and Assistant Kitchen Manager
