Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalency
- ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- ability to work in varying temperatures including extreme heat and cold
- ability to operate various kitchen equipment
- willingness to perform repetitive physical tasks
- clear communication skills in English
- availability to work on an as-needed basis between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalency is desirable
- one year of food handling and preparation experience is desirable
- ability to communicate clearly in English
- ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- experience in cash handling is a plus
Job Duties
- Participates in the preparation and cooking of various food items
- washes, slices, chops, and prepares fruits and vegetables
- assembles and prepares sandwiches and wraps
- sets up and disassembles serving areas and steam tables
- serves food to students and staff
- operates point-of-sale computer terminal to sell meals and food items
- maintains work areas in a clean and sanitary condition
- receives, checks, and stocks deliveries
- assists with monthly inventory as directed
