Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Culinary Arts, Hotel Restaurant Management or related field
- Prior experience in school food service operations
- Knowledge of Child Nutrition programs including policies, procedures and regulations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Experience in food service budget management
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Willingness to work occasional prolonged and irregular hours
- Ability to travel frequently district-wide
- Compliance with State Board for Educator Certification fingerprinting requirements
Job Qualifications

- Prior experience in school food service operations with menu and recipe planning
- Knowledge of Child Nutrition program policies, procedures and regulations
- Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- High ability to analyze and interpret data
- Experience with budget and personnel management
- Knowledge of recipe and culinary skill education
Job Duties
- Oversee all campus child nutrition operations and administrative tasks for school dining, catering, and outside events
- Identify and train child nutrition food service operations employees as needed
- Comply with federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and board policy in Child Nutrition
- Compile, maintain, and file Child Nutrition reports, records, and other required documents
- Assist in budgets and ensure programs are cost-effective and funds are managed prudently
- Assist in procurement of food, supplies, and equipment meeting federal and Texas Department of Agriculture standards
- Initiate purchase orders and bids, approve and generate invoices and purchase orders for the child nutrition department
- Assist with preparation, analysis, and refinement of job descriptions related to Child Nutrition frontline staff
- Develop training and improvement plans
- Evaluate job performance of supervisory, culinary, and frontline staff
- Participate in hiring, assignments, and training of Child Nutrition staff
- Oversee and maintain Child Nutrition safety programs and standards
- Participate in professional development related to Child Nutrition
- Assist in marketing and promotion campaigns for the Child Nutrition department
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
- Maintain safety standards that conform with federal, state, and district regulations
- Participate in Child Nutrition AP/AR functions as assigned
- Manage direct supervisory responsibilities
