Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Ability to use kitchen utensils and equipment
- Meet DHR and Health Department requirements
- Able to regularly lift 30 pounds, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to stand for long periods
- Ability to use a computer periodically
- Able to kneel, crouch, bend, or stoop

- Child nutrition, culinary, or food preparation background preferred

Job Duties
- Oversee the operation of the food service program for YWCA Central Alabama Child Development Center
- Preparation of all meals and snacks for YWCA Central Alabama Child Development Center
- Plan menus and prepare food as required by YWCA Central Alabama Child Development Center
- Ensure that meal service occurs at scheduled times
- Accurately and timely complete all required paperwork
- Ensure the daily cleaning of dishes, utensils, counter tops, preparation, and appliance surfaces
- Maintain working knowledge of the requirements of the USDA Child Care Food Program and Health Department requirements
- Periodic cleaning of the refrigerator, stove, oven, freezer, and cabinets
- Supervise staff and manage performance development
- Attend staff meetings, as directed
- Perform other duties necessary for the organization's operation
