Job Requirements
- Work experience in cooking and or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility preferred
- Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations
- Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cooking or food preparation for groups, especially in childcare environments preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary requirements
- Ability to follow detailed menus and schedules
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to assist in classroom support roles
- Good communication and team collaboration skills
Job Duties
- Create home-style nutritional meal plans within menu and budget guidelines
- Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff
- Distribute food to classrooms on schedule
- Follow USDA, licensing, and health department regulations
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies
- Order food and supplies as needed
- Assist classrooms as Assistant Teacher or Floater
