Job Requirements
- Work experience in cooking or food preparation in childcare settings preferred
- Willingness to learn and adhere to state and local regulations
- Flexibility in work hours and schedule
- Ability to work Monday through Friday
- Commitment to the well-being of children
- Ability to maintain health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cooking or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility preferred
- Knowledge of state and local health regulations
- Ability to adapt to menu changes and schedules
- Strong organizational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to assist in classroom support roles
Job Duties
- Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within menu, budget, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff
- Distribute food to classrooms
- Follow daily menus incorporating USDA, licensing, and health department regulations
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order as needed
- Assist in classrooms as an Assistant Teacher or Floater when required
