Job Requirements
- Work experience in cooking and or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility, preferred
- a willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations
- flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cooking and food preparation in a childcare facility preferred
- knowledge of USDA nutritional guidelines and state licensing requirements
- ability to follow detailed instructions and menus
- good organizational skills
- ability to assist in classroom activities as needed
- strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within school's menu and budget
- prepare meals and snacks for children and staff
- distribute food to the classrooms
- follow daily menu and adhere to USDA, licensing, and health department regulations
- maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed
- assist in classrooms as Assistant Teacher or Floater when necessary
