Job Requirements
- Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility preferred
- Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations
- Flexibility in hours and schedule of work
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cooking or food preparation in a childcare or similar setting preferred
- Knowledge of state and federal food regulations
- Ability to adapt to menu changes and meal schedules
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to assist in classroom duties
- Effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within the school’s menu and budget
- Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff
- Distribute food to classrooms
- Follow daily menus in compliance with USDA, licensing, and health department regulations
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies
- Order food and supplies as needed
- Assist in classrooms as an Assistant Teacher or Floater when needed
