Job Requirements
- Work experience in cooking and or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility preferred
- Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations
- Flexibility regarding hours and work schedule
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cooking or food preparation in a childcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of nutrition and food safety standards
- Ability to follow state and federal regulations regarding food service
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills
Job Duties
- Create home-style nutritional meal plans within school menu and budget
- Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff
- Distribute food to classrooms according to schedule
- Follow daily menu incorporating USDA, licensing, and health department regulations
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order when needed
- Assist in classrooms as Assistant Teacher or Floater as required
