Job Requirements
- Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility, preferred
- A willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations
- Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Physical ability to perform kitchen tasks
Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of USDA and health department nutritional regulations
- Ability to create meal plans within budget constraints
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- Ability to assist in classroom activities as needed
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and comply with state and local regulations
Job Duties
- Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within the school’s menu and budget boundaries
- Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff and distribute food to classrooms
- Follow daily menu provided by the Director incorporating USDA, licensing, and health department regulations
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order when needed
- Assist in classrooms as Assistant Teacher or Floater
- Adapt to menu changes and meet meal/snack schedules
- Ensure health and safety standards are strictly adhered to
