Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- pass required state and company background checks
- meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- relevant experience working in a licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to plan menus and manage kitchen inventory
- good organizational and communication skills
- ability to work efficiently in a team environment
Job Duties
- Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff
- keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed
- manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals
- maintain compliance with sanitation and food safety requirements
- clean kitchen and food preparation areas regularly
- coordinate with staff to meet dietary needs and preferences
- monitor kitchen equipment and report maintenance issues
