Job Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or GED certificate
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Maintain a good driving record
  • Have proof of insurance
  • Pass required background screening
  • Pass physical examination
  • Have at least one year of experience working with children in day care or residential setting
  • Be responsible and mature
  • Exercise sound judgment
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Adhere to all agency policies
  • Be able to lift children weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Work every other weekend and other necessary shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 21 years of age

  • Exhibit responsibility and maturity with reputable character
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and ability to care for children
  • Preferably have at least one year of experience working with children in day care or residential settings
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Maintain a good driving record
  • Have proof of insurance
  • Pass required background screening
  • Pass physical examination

Job Duties

  • Provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for children and families
  • Answer the door and phones and greet volunteers
  • Facilitate family visits with their children
  • Accept donations and assist in inventory process
  • Assist nurse practitioners in conducting well and sick child exams
  • Administer medication to children
  • Utilize service and behavior plans to address children's needs
  • Assist with personal hygiene and maintaining a healthy environment
  • Manage children's activities and leisure time
  • Support implementation of Creative Curriculum and Developmentally Appropriate Practice
  • Assist children with school homework and activities
  • Exercise agency-approved discipline and guidance policies
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks family style
  • Complete required documentation accurately
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Maintain child to staff ratios
  • Prepare for shift work including reading files and logs
  • Transport children to and from school and activities
