The Child Life Activity Coordinator position at Nemours is an exciting full-time role involving 32 hours per week over five days. This role is dedicated to planning and executing daily and special event activities that serve both recreational and therapeutic purposes for patients and their families, all while maintaining adherence to stringent safety and infection prevention protocols. The coordinator plays a vital role in promoting family-centered care and enhancing the patient and family experience through active engagement in diverse activities and events. Working in close collaboration with department leadership, the coordinator also contributes to annual goal setting, projects, and program development as a member of the child life team. Responsibilities include managing associate and volunteer staffing for activities and special events, supporting the department’s mission and values, and maintaining safe, clean play environments. The role requires outstanding communication skills, the ability to navigate fast-paced environments with professionalism, and a strong commitment to individualized, developmentally appropriate care for children of all ages. The coordinator also fosters partnerships within the hospital and broader community, ensuring programming is psychosocially sound and inclusive of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds. Additionally, they are responsible for volunteer orientation and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of organizational policies and compliance standards. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Plan and execute daily recreational and therapeutic activities for patients and families
