Job Qualifications

  • no high school diploma or general educational development (ged) certificate required

  • basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwasher and hand-washing stations
  • wash and disinfect kitchen and storage areas including tables utensils knives and equipment
  • receive deliveries store perishables properly and rotate stock
  • ensure clean dishes are stored in appropriate areas
  • use chemical detergents disinfectants and rinsing agents for washing dishes
  • inspect stack and send dirty items for re-washing
  • soak wash and re-wash cutlery
  • sort and separate containers for dirty items
  • empty trash bins and maintain waste deposit areas
  • clean and mop all assigned department areas
  • dispose of glass in appropriate containers
  • break down cardboard and other recyclables and place in recycling bins
  • comply with company safety policies report accidents injuries and hazardous conditions
  • communicate clearly and professionally with others
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • ensure quality standards are met
  • move lift transport push drag and place objects up to 50 pounds unaided
  • stand sit or walk for prolonged periods
  • bend reach and perform other physical tasks as required
  • perform reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors
