Job Requirements

  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate or Airline Transport Pilot certificate
  • Current 737 and/or 767 type rating
  • Minimum 2,500 flight hours with 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command
  • Leadership or management experience
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Flexibility to work first shift with potential alternate or weekend shifts
  • Compliance with drug-free workplace policies
  • Meet U.S. export control compliance requirements
  • Eligibility for relocation assistance based on candidate qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate and instrument rating or Airline Transport Pilot certificate
  • Current 737 and/or 767 type rating
  • Minimum 2,500 flight hours including 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command on turbine or jet aircraft
  • Experience leading or managing a team
  • Test Pilot School graduate (preferred)
  • Previous KC-46 or P-8 experience (preferred)
  • Experience with Contractor Flight Operations under risk clauses (preferred)
  • Developmental flight test experience in large multi-engine aircraft (preferred)
  • Experience in certification of transport category aircraft (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Manage test aircrew and first-level managers performing aircrew duties including preparation and safe conduct of test flight operations
  • Perform and manage activities to plan, conduct and evaluate ground and flight tests
  • Lead aircrew activities to support design efforts
  • Supervise production flight operations at the Military Delivery Center in Seattle
  • Ensure a collaborative and productive relationship with government partners
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners and direct reports
  • Provide oversight and approval of detailed staffing, planning and budgeting activities
  • Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures
  • Provide input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
  • Review and approve command media to ensure compliance with contract and regulatory processes and procedures
