Job Requirements
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate or Airline Transport Pilot certificate
- Current 737 and/or 767 type rating
- Minimum 2,500 flight hours with 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command
- Leadership or management experience
- Ability to obtain U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Flexibility to work first shift with potential alternate or weekend shifts
- Compliance with drug-free workplace policies
- Meet U.S. export control compliance requirements
- Eligibility for relocation assistance based on candidate qualifications
Job Qualifications
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate and instrument rating or Airline Transport Pilot certificate
- Current 737 and/or 767 type rating
- Minimum 2,500 flight hours including 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command on turbine or jet aircraft
- Experience leading or managing a team
- Test Pilot School graduate (preferred)
- Previous KC-46 or P-8 experience (preferred)
- Experience with Contractor Flight Operations under risk clauses (preferred)
- Developmental flight test experience in large multi-engine aircraft (preferred)
- Experience in certification of transport category aircraft (preferred)
Job Duties
- Manage test aircrew and first-level managers performing aircrew duties including preparation and safe conduct of test flight operations
- Perform and manage activities to plan, conduct and evaluate ground and flight tests
- Lead aircrew activities to support design efforts
- Supervise production flight operations at the Military Delivery Center in Seattle
- Ensure a collaborative and productive relationship with government partners
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners and direct reports
- Provide oversight and approval of detailed staffing, planning and budgeting activities
- Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures
- Provide input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
- Review and approve command media to ensure compliance with contract and regulatory processes and procedures
