Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting a military flight test program
  • 10+ years of experience in military tactical aviation
  • commercial certificate or FAA ATP with appropriate endorsements
  • current FAA class II medical certificate or must have the ability to obtain one
  • ability to pass the U.S. Air Force water survival and physiology training
  • test pilot school (TPS) graduate

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting a military flight test program
  • 10+ years of experience in military tactical aviation
  • commercial certificate or FAA ATP with appropriate endorsements
  • current FAA class II medical certificate or must have the ability to obtain one
  • ability to pass the U.S. Air Force water survival and physiology training
  • test pilot school (TPS) graduate
  • 3+ years of experience in aircraft production operations preferred
  • current and qualified in the T-7A or similar tactical training aircraft preferred

Job Duties

  • Operates aircraft and manages test pilots and first-level managers performing aircrew duties including activities to prepare for and conduct safe test flight operations
  • applies crew resource management principles to the operation of aircraft
  • performs and manages activities to plan, conduct and evaluate ground and test flights
  • leads aircrew activities to support design efforts
  • develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
  • acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • manages, develops, trains and evaluates test pilots and first-level managers
