Job Requirements

  • Previous experience managing private households of one to two families minimum
  • Proven success leading seven to ten plus staff members
  • Strong ability to build systems and SOPs from scratch using technology
  • Independent decision-maker with focus and accountability
  • Respectful and personable with strong interpersonal skills to interact with family and professional staff
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally up to ten times per year including advance travel to prepare residences and logistics
  • Bachelor's degree in management or a related field preferred
  • Spanish language skills helpful for Costa Rica residence
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Comfortable with pets in the home
  • Background and credit check required

Job Duties

  • Hire, train, and lead a team of in-home and external staff including nannies, tutors, chefs, housekeepers, maintenance, and security
  • Build and implement SOPs, training guides, and systems using technology
  • Oversee daily household operations with consistency and accountability
  • Foster a supportive and respectful environment for staff and family
  • Manage children’s schedules, school activities, tutoring, and healthcare appointments
  • Coordinate with the nanny to support family priorities
  • Maintain family calendars, events, and travel logistics
  • Plan and coordinate domestic and international travel up to 10 trips annually, including Tampa and Costa Rica residences
  • Travel in advance as needed to prepare properties and logistics for family arrival
  • Organize events, vacations, and special occasions for the family
  • Maintain household budgets, track expenses, and manage reimbursements
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and review invoices
  • Oversee maintenance and insurance for homes, vehicles, and watercraft
  • Support extended family needs such as shopping, healthcare, and visits
  • Coordinate pet care including walking, grooming, and training
