Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance management
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, and energy control systems
  • Proven ability to manage maintenance staff and contractors including hiring, training, and evaluation
  • Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and purchasing
  • Excellent problem-solving and emergency handling skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance protocols
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call as necessary

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide professional and courteous guest service at all times
  • Supervise maintenance operations including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, A/C units, lighting, and fire/life safety systems
  • Monitor and manage energy consumption for efficiency
  • Oversee contracted services to meet hotel standards and guest expectations
  • Supervise maintenance staff including hiring, training, evaluations, and scheduling
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of maintenance projects according to specifications
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and Security on operations, key control, and safety procedures
  • Assist with project planning and work with architects and contractors on bids and blueprints
  • Manage maintenance agreements and contracts including landscaping and snow removal
  • Develop and maintain maintenance programs for guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel equipment
  • Perform inventory management, purchasing duties, and budget development for the department
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of workspaces
  • Attend meetings as required by the General Manager
