Job Qualifications
- previous cashiering experience preferred
- ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with guests, employees and supervisors
- ability to deal with customers and co-workers in a tactful and respectful manner
- minimum age of 16 years
- flexible to work varying shifts including holidays and weekends
Job Duties
- facilitate the payment of guest checks by processing cash, credit cards, room charges, or special billing
- record all financial data required by accounting and control the issue and return of all guest checks
- receive payment from guests and make change as needed, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
- make deposits and cash drops, complete appropriate cashier paperwork and reports, balance and secure bank
- post and payout tips as required, create and settle all checks, comps, charges, and run adding machine tapes on all charges
- operate cash register, adding machine/calculator, telephone and credit card machine to complete guest transactions
- interact with co-workers and customers in a professional and polite manner
- other duties as assigned
