Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in coffee preparation or food service preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
- ability to stand for extended periods
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of the basic functions of food operations
- working knowledge of acceptable standards of sanitation and proper chemical usage
- ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, staff, and guests
- relevant experience in a high quality, high volume operation preferred
Job Duties
- Become familiar with all menu items and general hotel information
- take coffee orders from guests and ensure correct and prompt delivery of orders
- educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu
- answering questions
- use the automated point of service (POS) system to process orders
- prepare and sell coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks such as espresso, espresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino
- maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
- follow all proper check control procedures
- perform other related duties as assigned
