Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- minimum 1 year experience as a technician, preferably in polymers testing, mixing or blending
- forklift operation experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- proven organizational and multitasking skills
- ability to work with minimal direction
- willingness to work overtime and occasional call-outs
- willingness to handle hazardous and flammable chemicals with safety precautions
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and lifting
- ability to lift up to 55 pounds
- proficient computer skills
- must pass pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening, background check
- availability to work 11 pm to 7 am Sunday through Thursday
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- minimum 1 year experience working as a technician, ideally in polymers testing, mixing or blending
- forklift operation experience preferred
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- ability to work with minimal supervision and self-develop
- proficient computer skills to use requisite software applications
Job Duties
- Accurate measurement and mixing of colors
- color matching and adjustment to meet specifications
- preparing and managing batches according to formulas and schedules
- inspecting and testing mixtures for consistency and color accuracy
- handling chemicals safely and following safety regulations
- performing basic laboratory techniques
- operating forklift equipment
- completing tasks wearing required personal protective equipment
