Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 - 3 years experience as a machine operator in a production environment
- blending or batch mixing experience preferred
- ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- good communication skills
- ability to operate forklift
- knowledge of OSHA safety standards
- ability to perform chemical handling safely
- ability to maintain sanitation standards
- ability to operate waste water system
- ability to perform basic testing such as pH and hardness
- ability to keep accurate records
- ability to follow safety policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- 2 - 3 years experience as a machine operator in a production environment
- blending and batch mixing experience preferred
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing at all levels
- well organized
- ability to learn quickly
- ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions
- good communication skills including reading, writing and speaking
Job Duties
- Operate mixers, pre-mixers and blending equipment to produce liquid soap
- follow all safety policies and procedures
- handle chemicals safely in compliance with OSHA standards
- report chemical spills and follow clean up procedures
- adhere to sanitation program for mixers, tanks and totes
- understand fluid flow from raw materials to mixers
- transfer finished products to storage tanks
- operate forklift for material movement
- follow CGMP in manufacturing
- follow instructions and recipes for batching
- troubleshoot equipment issues
- rework batches to avoid waste
- record data on batch sheets and logs
- maintain stock levels of non-bulk items
- maintain salt levels in brine tanks
- conduct pH and hardness testing
- complete cleaning duties for process area and equipment
- attend hazardous chemical seminars
- operate waste water system
- maintain clean, safe and sanitary operation
- perform other duties as assigned
