Job Requirements
- High school certificate of completion, diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of commercial kitchen experience
- Ability to read and understand menus and recipes
- Knowledge of sanitation and health department guidelines
- Physical ability to bend, lift up to 50 pounds, reach, turn, and stand for long periods
- Reliable and dependable

- Skills in cooking and preparing a variety of foods

Job Duties
- Assist director of food services or sous chef in executing daily menu
- Start preparation of main meals
- Assist with kitchen and food storage
- Cook as directed by director of food services or sous chef
- Follow menus to prepare for next day's menu
- Maintain sanitation and health standards in the kitchen
- Ensure clean-up of kitchen according to guidelines
- Watch the serving line and replenish food as needed
- Perform major cleaning of ovens, refrigerators, and storeroom
- Report accidents or incidents immediately
- Complete other duties as required
