Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years experience as a head chef
  • ServSafe Food Manager Certification
  • Minimum 3 years as Chef or Sous Chef in production kitchen
  • Ability to create and manage food budgets
  • Experience developing fine dining menus
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent communication in fast-paced settings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience managing kitchen staff and schedules
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation compliance
  • Ability to develop new menu items and standardize recipes
  • Experience in hospitality industry with direct public contact preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Culinary Arts
  • ServSafe Food Manager Certification
  • 3 years experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in a production kitchen environment
  • Experience creating food budgets
  • Experience designing fine dining menus
  • Experience planning catered events
  • Experience building collaborative relationships and fostering teamwork
  • Strong communication skills in fast-paced environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Email
  • Proven experience hiring, training, and managing kitchen staff
  • Strong culinary skills and understanding of food preparation techniques and terminology
  • Commitment to kitchen cleanliness and compliance with health regulations
  • Skilled in menu development and recipe standardization
  • Experience in hospitality with public interaction preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage the Customer Dining unit including planning, budgeting, preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations including recipe development and menu planning
  • Hire, train, and supervise food preparation staff
  • Maintain food supply inventories and kitchen equipment cleanliness
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and county sanitation policies
  • Provide leadership that fosters a fine dining experience and maximizes staff productivity
  • Ensure all meals meet established quality and organizational standards
