Job Requirements

  • associate's degree in culinary arts
  • ServSafe certification and/or food manager's license
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly
  • working knowledge of food preparation methods and terminology
  • three years experience as a culinary supervisor in the food industry
  • ability to lead and develop cooks, dishwashers, and waitstaff
  • willingness to travel regularly to multiple sites
  • commitment to customer service principles
  • ability to embrace mission, vision, and values

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepare high-quality meals according to therapeutic diets and preferences
  • manage food orders and inventory
  • ensure customer service satisfaction
  • adhere to budget guidelines
  • supervise cooks and kitchen staff
  • travel regularly to Walker Methodist communities in St Paul and Minneapolis
  • maintain food safety and sanitation standards
