Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- proven culinary experience in a leadership role
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- strong communication and team management skills
- knowledge of food safety standards
- must be able to handle the physical demands of kitchen work
- food safety manager certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a kitchen manager, sous chef, or lead cook
- hands-on daily special, soup of the day planning, and ingredient ordering experience
- knowledge of various cooking techniques and recipes
- strong organizational and conflict management skills
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- food safety manager certification preferred
Job Duties
- Manage and lead kitchen staff effectively
- supervise food preparation and cooking processes
- place orders for ingredients and kitchen supplies
- monitor portion sizes and quality standards
- assist on the line during peak service times
- train staff on cooking techniques and food presentation
- maintain kitchen inventory and equipment
- help develop promotions to boost sales
- ensure compliance with food safety practices
