Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • proven culinary experience in a leadership role
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong communication and team management skills
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • must be able to handle the physical demands of kitchen work
  • food safety manager certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a kitchen manager, sous chef, or lead cook
  • hands-on daily special, soup of the day planning, and ingredient ordering experience
  • knowledge of various cooking techniques and recipes
  • strong organizational and conflict management skills
  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • food safety manager certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage and lead kitchen staff effectively
  • supervise food preparation and cooking processes
  • place orders for ingredients and kitchen supplies
  • monitor portion sizes and quality standards
  • assist on the line during peak service times
  • train staff on cooking techniques and food presentation
  • maintain kitchen inventory and equipment
  • help develop promotions to boost sales
  • ensure compliance with food safety practices
