Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Must be 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Valid Food Services Sanitation Certificate or ability to pass course once employed
  • Knowledge of multiple cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of food control and food handling processes

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Must be 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages

  • Knowledge of multiple cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of food control and food handling processes
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant or senior living or equivalent cooking experience preferred but not required
  • Certificate from an accredited culinary arts school preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare recipes utilizing fresh ingredients to ensure a fine dining experience for residents and guests
  • Participate directly in daily kitchen operations including cooking, serving and cleaning under the direction of the Manager of Dining Services
  • Work as a team with the other kitchen staff, overlapping responsibilities to ensure exceptional service to residents and guests
  • Meet organizational and regulatory expectations including sanitation, food preparation, menus, nutrition, and documentation
