Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years or older
  • 0 to 1 year experience
  • obtain MN Food Safety-Sanitation certification within 90 days or Certified Food Protection Manager certification within 90 days

Job Qualifications

  • 0 to 1 year experience
  • must be 18 years or older
  • MN Food Safety-Sanitation certification within 90 days or Certified Food Protection Manager issued by the State of Minnesota within 90 days
  • vocational school technical training or associate degree in food service preferred
  • 1 to 3 years experience preferred
  • working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare food according to standardized recipes
  • cook foods to specified temperatures
  • ensure products meet temperature and quality standards
  • weigh and measure ingredients accurately
  • use correct portioning utensils
  • assemble food within specified time frames
  • provide meal service in a timely manner
  • prepare bakery items per standardized recipes
  • complete daily preparation sheet tasks accurately
  • assist with special events
  • supervise kitchen staff in supervisor's absence
  • manage daily kitchen operations without the supervisor
  • provide resident and guest customer service during supervisor's absence
  • communicate feedback from residents and guests about meal quality
