Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years culinary or food and beverage experience OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field
  • 2 years related professional experience
  • ability to lead and supervise kitchen teams
  • strong communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to manage budgets and kitchen operations
  • availability for full-time work

Job Qualifications

  • OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 2 years experience

Job Duties

  • Develops, designs, or creates new menu applications and ideas for the specialty restaurant
  • supervises specialty restaurant kitchen shift operations ensuring compliance with food and beverage standards
  • maintains proper food preparation, handling, and storage standards
  • plans and manages food quantities and plating
  • communicates production needs to key personnel
  • assists in developing daily and seasonal menu items
  • ensures compliance with all applicable food laws and safety regulations
  • supervises and coordinates activities of kitchen staff
  • leads and manages specialty restaurant kitchen employees with hands-on involvement
  • encourages and builds trust and cooperation among team members
  • manages employee training, coaching, and development
  • sets and supports achievement of kitchen goals including budget and performance
  • investigates and follows up on employee accidents
  • provides exceptional customer service and manages guest complaints
  • participates in hiring, performance appraisals, and disciplinary procedures
  • communicates effectively with supervisors and team members
  • attends and participates in pertinent meetings
