Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1-2 years of sous chef experience
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to work full time including weekends
  • effective supervisory and organizational skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of sous chef experience
  • ability to supervise and train staff effectively
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • leadership skills and ability to handle pressure during peak times

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
  • ensure all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and participating in reviews
  • store food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and clean workstation thoroughly before leaving area
  • interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • demonstrate complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to associates and customers
  • monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
  • track product production, consumption and waste
  • inform supervisor when supplies or product are low
  • perform other duties as assigned
