Job Requirements
- 1-3 years sous chef experience preferred
- ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily
- willingness to work full time with variable schedule depending on business needs
- ability to work during academic breaks if required
- ability to uphold food safety and sanitation standards
- strong organizational skills
- ability to lead and manage a kitchen team
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of sous chef experience preferred
- knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
- strong leadership and supervisory skills
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- customer service experience
- ability to manage inventory and food production tracking
Job Duties
- Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
- ensure all deadlines are met based on production orders
- supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and performance reviews
- store food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and keep workstation clean
- interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- demonstrate complete understanding of daily menu items and explain them to associates and customers
- monitor inventory and deliveries of products and supplies and inform supervisor when supplies are low
- perform other duties as assigned
