Job Requirements
- Previous scratch cook experience making fresh food
- Ability to work full-time or part-time schedules including rotating weekends
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to comply with corporate, state, and federal food safety standards
- Availability to work 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM shifts or as scheduled
- Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- Previous scratch cook experience
- Experience supervising kitchen or food service associates
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to understand and explain menu items clearly
- Leadership abilities to manage scheduling, training, and counseling
- Ability to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and disciplinary recommendations
- Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils
- Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area
- Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner and relays relevant information to supervisor
- Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers
- Keeps up with peak production and service hours
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
- Tracks product production, consumption, and waste
- Informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
- Performs other duties as assigned
