Job Requirements

  • able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
  • prior culinary or kitchen management experience
  • knowledge of food cost controls and sanitation practices
  • capability to work in a high volume foodservice environment
  • basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and email
  • servsafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • a.s. or equivalent experience
  • some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
  • catering experience is a plus
  • experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations is highly desirable
  • knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focused on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
  • servsafe certified is highly desirable

Job Duties

  • assist the executive chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account
  • assist the executive chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise and support kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
