Job Requirements

  • Completion of hospitality or culinary degree or equivalent certified training or relevant work experience
  • Proficiency and experience with high volume catering food preparation
  • Proficiency in use of computer business applications including POS systems, Excel, and Word
  • Minimum age of 18 years required for alcohol sale facilitation in Alaska
  • Must pass pre-employment background check
  • Minimum age of 18 years required to reside in company housing
  • Eligibility to work in the United States with no sponsorship provided
  • Ability to obtain Alaska Food Handler Card and TAPS alcohol server permit
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to comply with company policies and health and safety standards
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day

Job Qualifications

  • Professional level knowledge in food preparation and production equivalent to hospitality or culinary degree or equivalent certified training
  • Demonstrated relevant work experience
  • Experience with high volume catering food preparation
  • Proficiency with computerized point of sales (POS) systems, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to obtain Alaska Food Handler Card and TAPS alcohol server permit
  • Working knowledge of warehousing or food storage preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to comply with company health and safety standards
  • Ability to stand and work on feet for minimum 8 hours per day

Job Duties

  • Work closely with Chef and Food and Beverage management team
  • Supervise food production, storage, and sanitation processes
  • Oversee record keeping, control logs, auditing, and manage food cost using FIFO
  • Ensure company HESS and sanitation procedures are followed and conduct regular internal audits
  • Follow all company recipes and ensure staff are prepping, preparing, and plating to standard
  • Assist in menu development and creation as requested
  • Participate in daily presence checking plates outgoing and tasting products served
  • Conduct pre-shift and safety meetings with direct reports and staff
  • Mentor and coach staff to produce the highest quality products
  • Ensure accommodation of dietary restrictions
  • Support overall venue success by assisting servers and food runners
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in work and storage spaces
  • Contribute effectively to positive guest experience while maintaining professional attitude and appearance
