Job Requirements

  • Full-time availability
  • Nights and weekends availability
  • Experience programming menus or items in Toast POS preferred
  • Experience managing inventory counts and par levels
  • Ability to place and receive food orders accurately
  • Enforce FIFO, labeling, and organization standards
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills

Job Qualifications

  • BBQ and smoking experience required
  • Proven experience as a chef, lead cook, or kitchen manager
  • Strong understanding of food cost and margins
  • Strong understanding of inventory control
  • Strong understanding of menu development
  • Strong understanding of kitchen systems
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, scratch kitchen
  • Calm under pressure, organized, and reliable
  • Comfortable being a working chef, not desk-only

Job Duties

  • Operate and manage BBQ smokers including brisket, pork, ribs, chicken
  • Ensure consistent quality, yields, and portions
  • Work the line and lead service during peak hours
  • Maintain all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
  • Control food cost, waste, and portioning
  • Assist with menu development, specials, and menu pricing
  • Hire, train, and lead kitchen staff
