Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Food Handler's Card
- Minimum of two years dietary or food service experience in a hotel restaurant, hospital, or nursing facility
- Ability to supervise kitchen staff
- Knowledge of specialty cooking and food preparation
- Ability to plan and prepare regular and special diet menus
- Strong attention to food quality and presentation
Job Qualifications
- Must currently hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree strongly preferred
- Must possess a valid Food Handler's Card
- Minimum of two (2) years dietary/food service experience in a hotel restaurant, hospital, or nursing facility required
- Culinary supervisory experience preferred
Job Duties
- Supervise other personnel engaged in specialty cooking, preparation, presentation and service of food and beverage items
- Assist in planning and planning regular and special diet menus as prescribed by the attending physician
- Prepare and serve portion-controlled meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
- Work with the facility's dietitian as necessary and implement recommended changes as required
- Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services
- Assist in developing methods for determining quality and quantity of food served
