Job Requirements

  • Completion of certified culinary program or equivalent
  • One to three years cooking experience in hospitality industry
  • Preferably experience in retirement community or restaurant food preparation
  • One to three years supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to understand and supervise kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of dining and food production operations

Job Duties

  • Prepare quality foods for residents, associates, and guests under supervision
  • Plan and implement special events
  • Assist Dining Services Manager with kitchen staff supervision
  • Assist with kitchen staff training
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • Support kitchen operations and workflow
  • Ensure dining and food production operations meet quality standards
