Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- Completion of culinary arts certificate, degree, or apprenticeship preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in R&D or executive culinary roles
- Certified Professional Food Manager certification required
- Chef’s apprentice certification preferred
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food product development
- Familiarity with HACCP program and food safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from college or technical school
- Completion of post-secondary culinary arts certificate, degree program, or apprenticeship preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience as Research and Development Chef or equivalent executive culinary roles
- Certified Professional Food Manager certification required
- Chef’s apprentice certification preferred
- Exceptional culinary skills with knowledge of upscale casual trends and food quality
- Applied knowledge of food science, culinary chemistry, engineering, and sensory evaluation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong understanding of flavors, textures, and various cuisines
Job Duties
- Plan and design new culinary concepts in collaboration with Universal Creative
- Assist VP and Executive Chef with menu food items, presentations, and recipes development
- Research new food products and market trends to develop menu concepts
- Review and provide feedback on facility design drawings and operational training materials
- Ensure menu items are properly set up in Eatec and match recipes
- Participate in final design reviews with Food and Beverage designers and engineers
- Partner with Talent Development to create and facilitate training on new food and beverage offerings
- Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained, including HACCP compliance
- Support Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities
- Assist project teams with design, construction, staffing, training, and commissioning for new Food and Beverage venues
- Oversee and provide guidance to exempt and non-exempt teams indirectly
- Participate in domestic and international travel for project support
